Lint: bulging-fissure-sign-lobar-consolidation

Emphasis
warning

"The bulging fissure sign refers to exudative lobar consolidation which rapidly expands the affected lobe causing displacement of the adjacent fissure. Inflammation is intense and often progresses to necrotising pneumonia 7. Classically, it has been described in right upper lobe (RUL) consolidation secondary to Klebsiella pneumoniae. It is rarely seen if antibiotic therapy is initiated promptly."
