"A reverse target sign is a potential ultrasound marker of cirrhotic nodules. It represents central iso- to hyperechogenicity with a surrounding hyperechoic rim. This sign helps differentiate metastases from cirrhotic nodules; conversely, the target sign is seen with liver metastases. The ultrasound appearance can also be seen in cases of multifocal nodular steatosis (MNS)3."
