"Embryonal tumours are most common in very young children, with incidence decreasing from 20.8% in infancy to 2.7% in late teens. ATRT shows a similar pattern, being most common in infants (56%) and rare after age 5. ETMR typically presents in children under 4 years, usually within the first 24 months. The incidence of pituitary tumours increases with age, from 1% in infants to 33% in teens (15-19 years), making them the most common brain tumour in adolescents. Pilocytic astrocytomas maintain a relatively steady presence across childhood, peaking at 23.5% in ages 1-4 years. Congenital brain tumours are rare tumours (0.5-1.9% of paediatric brain tumours), that are present before birth or within the first 6 weeks of life, with some cases extending up to 12 months 4-6."
